I am requesting that anyone who reads my blog and would like to submit their favorite apple pie recipe donate their recipe.
For your information, the following is my favorite apple pie recipe.
Apple Pie with Brown Sugar and Walnuts
1/4 C butter or margarine
1/2 C walnut halves
1/2 C brown sugar
Plain pie crust pastry (use lard)
for 2 crusts
5 to 7 peeled, cored and sliced
McIntosh apples
1 tbls. lemon juice
1/2 C sugar
1 tbls. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
Pinch of salt
Directions:
Evenly spread melted butter over bottom and sides of pie pan.
Spread walnuts on the bottom. Press brown sugar over nuts and
cover with one (1) pie crust.
Fill pie crust with already mixed apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon,
nutmeg and a pinch of salt.
Cover with second pie crust and make slits on the top.
Bake at 400 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Be care not to over-
cook apples. McIntosh, though tart or sweet, can cook quickly into
applesauce.
Remove from oven and let rest.
Invert pie onto your most decorative plate and serve.
Serves: 8-10 depending on size of slice

Yum. Looks easy to modify to make milk free. :-)
Georgia, your blog looks great and so does this recipe. Weight Watchers, I presume ;) Well done
Looks like a great pie recipe. For apple pie, I tend to cut up a bunch of apples, throw them into a pie shell and then make up a topping with whatever I have on hand at the moment...three staples being brown sugar, butter and flour. I think I'll try this recipe!
Uh oh. That looks wonderful. But I have to admit that my favorite still is:
Get in the car
Drive to Rogers Orchard
Buy one of theirs
Yum!
Welcome to the Blogosphere!
Looks yummy! I'll let you know when I get a chance to try it out!
